Hard decision- would you smuggle drugs for your child's life.?

if you had a child who was going to die if they didnt have an operation which was going to cost you some money that you did not have as the NHS or everyone you knew was not prepared to do the operation without getting paid and no-one wanted to give you money or a loan would you be prepared to do something illegal like smuggling drugs into a country and harming other peoples lives so you can save your child.





my view- i wouldn%26#039;t do it as ill be harming more people lives but as i dont have a child so i cant put my feet in their shoes

That is a tough tough decision. It is amazing what a parent will do for their child. Have you ever seen that movie %26quot;John Q.%26quot; That right there was hardcore, but I couldn%26#039;t say I would not do it myself if it came down to my child%26#039;s health.


It%26#039;s just so risky. What if I did decide to smuggle the drugs? What if I end up getting busted, then ended up in jail and my child dying and me not being there for him?


I have to say this, though....if there was no way I would ever get busted....I would do it. If it meant saving my child%26#039;s life. Then yeah.

Reply:I don%26#039;t have a child either, but I have a feeling that if I did, I would be willing to do whatever it takes to keep it healthy and safe. I%26#039;m not sure that%26#039;s the way I would try it, but my child would come first.

Reply:I would. My child (if I had one) would be more important to me than anyone or anything else. Perhaps that is selfish of me, but I see it as a sacrifice for my child. I would rather go to jail (those drugs would get into the country anyway... if I didn%26#039;t take them, somebody else would) than to see my child die.





Of course, that is a very extreme situation that will probably never happen to me... and I would never smuggle drugs unless it was for a similar reason. The benefit would have to outweigh the risks and consequences.

Reply:No because it is a fallacy . Drug dealers use any rationale for their creepy crime . There are many legitimate ways to help a sick child . many charities , like St. Jude ; or Children%26#039;s Miracle Network . To choose the worst way in the world in the name of your sick kid..is a sick cop-out . What%26#039;s the poor sick kid going to do without parents - while they rot in prison ?

Reply:You are harming more people than you are helping so the reasonable answer would be no.But emotions get in the way of intellect at moments when something bad is happen,like your child dying for instance.The only thing you can think about is what happens to your baby,your flesh and blood.All other people do not matter any more.Emotion and determination take you over.I would definately smuggle the drugs in for my kid.My kids life would be the most important thing going on at the time.


Im only 13 though and Ive never experienced how much love you could just have for one person.However, Im sure instincts would take over.

Reply:It would hurt like hell, but if considering my experience in such things (which is nil and none) I would refuse. Not out of moral sense but I know the man who has the least clue of what is going on is going to be the fall guy (which would be me.) and how would I help my child then if I was in jail or dead?
Reply:YES! I%26#039;d do anything for my child. And besides, the people dont have to have the drugs they take them by their own accord.
Reply:If you smuggle drugs without knowing what you%26#039;re doing, the best you can hope for is jail and the worst that will, note I said WILL happen is your death at the hands of the guys you%26#039;re competing with. What good would you be to your sick child if you%26#039;re in jail or dead?

Reply:If I had a child I would not be willing to smuggle drugs to save his/her life because by sacrificing that one life I might have a hand in saving thousands of lives. And that is worth it.
